Vaccination ?

So let’s go to Tanzania ! Wait a minute, have you seen your doctor ?

Couple of weeks ago we’ve received injections for:

  • Yellow Fever
  • Hepatitis A
  • Tiphoid
  • Meningitis
  • Polio

Additionally today (14 days before departure) and in a week, we need to take some Dukoral. This product is supposed to protect us against E-Coli diarrhea and cholera. Cholera is not a must but it comes with it for free so…

Of course you also need to take, while traveling, the medicine against malaria ! Note that this is useless on the mountain as there are no mosquito higher than 1800 meters…

Nothing in this list is mandatory, but do you really want to take the risk ! Thinking about it, I feel strange that I did not took the H1N1 vaccin, but agreed to take all this ones lol

Hi. I just wanted to wish your entire team good luck. I work with Dave Betz, and I am so excited for you all. I have enjoyed hearing about the trip for the last couple of months, and have watched his grouling training. I am so happy for all of you that are going. I am sure this will be an experience of a lifetime! Mary Harwood

Thanks Mary! Kilimanjaro is a place where ordinary people come to make extraordinary things, and I believe that we will be an interesting group that will succeed in doing an extraordinary trek!
